Tauro Tauro
STOP MOTION PHOTOBOOTH ANIMATION
Tauro Tauro was inspired by a Greek myth: King Minos received a beautiful white bull from the sea that he was told to sacrifice to Poseidon, he does not and the myth continues and describes the origin of the Minotaur. The protagonist of Tauro Tauro is, however, a common bull from Minos’ herd. Told through puppets and masks, the story plays with themes of gender, duality, fate and the zodiac.
The animation was shot in Auto-Photo Canada's warehouse in 2012. It’s comprised of over 550 photobooth pictures. An original score was composed by Aaron Read.
